Feliz Navidad

¡Hola!

This weekend was the ward Christmas dinner. MUCH MUCH MUCH better than last year. Granollers knows how to party. jaja! But seriously it was a wonderful ward activity. They used all the capilla. In the primary room there was music/dancing. In the cultural hall/chapel the tables were set up for eating/chatting. And in the relief society room there were two ping pong tables. There was an amazing turn out too. Active members, menos activos, nonmembers....all types of people! Elder González and I prepared a surprise musical numbers....I hope it has not surfaced on the internet already. We sang three songs a Mexican Christmas song called "Burrito Sabanero", "Feliz Navidad", and "Eschuchad el son triunfal" (hark the herald angels sing). One of the young men who always helps us, Sergio, accompanied us on guitar. We sang terribly, but it went well.

One day this week when our visit and back up plans all failed, we felt that we should pass by the piso of a menos activo. Usually this menos activo is less than excited to see us and always has an excuse to not visit with us. But still we decided to follow the prompting to visit him. When we arrived it was not the menos activo who answered the door, but the mother of another family that lives in the same piso. We are now teaching her. And the menos activo, by helping us teach, is becoming reanimated and even came to the ward activity this weekend with his own family. When we act on our faith by following inspiration the Lord will lead us to those who need us.

Have a wonderful week. And a great Christmas!!
¡Hasta luego!

Love,
Elder Buchkovich

ps. Don´t forgot the reason we celebrate Christmas.....the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
